The Hop Farm wedding venue in Kent

I photographed a wonderful and fun wedding at The Hop Farm in Kent last week. Being a converted oast house, it’s a very pretty and a slightly unusual wedding venue. The ceremony room is beautiful, and as it is on the first floor, it gives a lovely view over the lawns and the gazebo. But the best part is that if a wedding happens to be on a rainy day – or rather, if a weddings starts as a fine day and then turns into rain – they can move your wedding ceremony from the gazebo into the room indoors in a matter of minutes. Which of course means that they can have far more weddings outside as they always have the backup of the indoor space available.

Dennis was a lovely Toastmaster – very helpful and friendly towards me and everyone else. At a wedding, it is all about everyone working together to give the couple (and their guests) the best experience possible on one of the most important days of their lives.

The stairs in the above photo gave a very easy advantage point for me to get the group photo of everyone.

Here is a glimpse of the happy couple… but I will post more about them later. This post is mostly about the wonderful, a little quirky wedding venue that is The Hop Farm.
