SWPP location seminar – Art Suwansang

I just realised that I have forgotten to blog about the other location seminar I took part in back in January at the SWPP convention! It was titled ‘Wedding Hands on Posing’ by Art Suwansang and it was held at a gorgeous Egerton House Hotel in Knightsbridge, London.

Right from the start Art was such a lovely, laid-back yet energetic and enthusiastic guy that I completely relaxed and just enjoyed his workshop. We started by taking some photos of our bride model at the hotel lounge.

The was a handy little bar to the side so Art asked the models to do some poses there, too.

A few more poses in one of the gorgeous hotel rooms.

We were beautifully taken care of by the hotel staff all through the day, which was just another aspect that made the day so much fun. After a delicious lunch, Art lead us outside to explore the neighbourhood for good locations for shots of the couple.

That was Art himself with the models up there, by the way, just having fun with the whole situation. I love people like Art who see humour everywhere and are all about enjoying life.

Next he showed us how gorgeous lighting can be between big buildings when light bounces around and gets diffused. I was amazed by the quality of light here – I don’t think I would have even thought of placing the couple in this location, so it was a real eye-opener!

Last few shots of the day…

It’s OK, the models are actually a real couple – it’s not that they just suddenly fell in love during the shoot.

Really loved this location seminar with Art Suwansang. Oh, and he didn’t just teach us during the shoot, either… he is such a genuine, sharing person that he offered to load the photos he took during the day onto his laptop and show them to us, accompanied by some killer Lightroom tips. It wasn’t part of the package we paid for; he just gave us his time ’cause that’s the kind of person he is. I really can’t praise Art enough – if you ever have a chance to take one of his location seminars, go for it – you will enjoy it!
