Brighton wedding photographer – Chris and Sophie’s wedding at Havana Spoon Hove

I had the pleasure of photographing Chris and Sophie’s wedding the other week. I started the day by going to their home where Sophie was getting ready. Sophie was so relaxed, friendly and fun to be with that I had a great time while documenting her day.

She is ready! And utterly gorgeous.

In the meantime, my partner Miles was documenting Chris getting ready with his groomsmen at Hotel Du Vin in Brighton.

They all drove to St Michael & All Angels church in Southwick, West Sussex, where they added the final touches to their attire.

And then – the moment everyone had been waiting for!

After the ceremony we took some group photos in the churchyard.

The others left for the reception venue and I spent another 10 minutes with Sophie and Chris alone under the beautiful trees in the churchyard.

At Havana Spoon in Hove, the wedding reception had started with stylish and sophisticated music provided by swing and jazz singer Matthew vanKan. (Have a look at some videos of him singing and you’ll see that – apart from being a fabulous singer – he is an absolute heartthrob.)

Guests were enjoying the outside terrace as well as the bar inside.

After the wedding breakfast, the restaurant staff were quick to prepare for the next part of the celebrations…

After which, get your dance shoes on!

Sophie and Chris’s first dance was a fun affair, they got people to join in and were just having a great time with everyone. Not easy to photograph situation, I have to say – but I forgive them, seeing as they were having so much fun! haha.

It has been lovely to get to know Chris and Sophie; such fabulous, friendly people. I want to thank my photographer friend Leigh Sanders for recommending me to Chris (Leigh is a great wedding photographer himself but wasn’t available on the day) and I want to thank Chris and Sophie for trusting me to be their wedding photographer! Have a fantastic rest of the summer, you two, and hope to see you again soon!

(Chris also wrote a very kind testimonial for me, you can see it on the Light Trick Photography Google Places page.)
