Wedding photographer in Hampshire – Hannu and Colette’s wedding at Burley Manor Hotel

I have a looong backlog of weddings and portrait shoots to blog about, but I thought I’d start with a fairly recent wedding. And it happens to be my cousin’s wedding in the New Forest a few weeks ago!

The couple were to marry in a cute little church near the bride’s home. Here are the ushers and Best Man getting organised in front of the church, followed by other people getting ready.

And here comes the bride! With a beautiful bouquet…

Getting all sorted for the big entrance!

See that cute little page boy? Adorable, isn’t he. He was really funny;  as soon as he reached the front of the aisle, he decided that he’d done quite enough, and turned back.

It was a beautiful service…

Rings were exchanged…

…and hymns sung…

The Kiss!

Fast forward to the reception, and speeches. The groom’s brother, the Best Man, gave a hilarious speech which involved slight embarrassment from the groom’s part! I love this next shot, Colette laughing to the stories the Best Man is telling from Hannu’s childhood, and Hannu obviously thinking “Oh, no…..!”

A couple more of my favourite shots – both captured by my trusty second shooter/partner Miles – the first of Colette with her parents – and the other a slightly odd capture of Hannu and his mother… and bubbles.

The first one is obvious, but I’m not quite sure why I like the second one. Perhaps it’s the quirkiness of the moment. Oh, that reminds me – I did have another unusual shot that is one of my favourites: a windy moment of the couple arriving at the reception venue.

But I shouldn’t get out of sequence…  After the Wedding Breakfast, Colette got ready for the evening’s party.

…which was in a beautiful building next door!

A lot of fun was had… a lot of dances were danced. Everyone was having a great time. I managed to grab the couple out for a few more photos just on their own, though, before they returned to the dance floor!

I may be a little biased (as I used to babysit my cousin when he was 5!) but what a sweet, lovely couple, and a beautiful wedding. Wishing you, kids, all the happiness in the world!
