Last year I photographed a lovely little wedding at the Brighton Town Hall. This was my first same-sex wedding since it was made legal to marry within same sex in England back in March 2014. (Before that, same-sex couples were only allowed to enter into a civil partnership). It was a very last minute booking as the couple’s previous photographer became unable to photograph their wedding. I was so happy that they found me and I found them, as Kim and Melissa are so friendly, caring and lovely people that it was a joy to be their photographer.
Here they are posing in the Brighton Town Hall staircase before their ceremony.
The ceremony was in the Recency Room.
As you can see from the photos, there was a lot of merriment and laughter, and tears of happiness, too. This was a beautiful wedding and I loved being part of it.
