I exhibited at a wedding fayre a couple of weeks ago at Pelham House in Lewes. It was my first time so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect and wasn’t very well prepared either, but it turned out to be a great experience.

I took some photos for Pelham House last year (as seen on my blog for Sussex Commercial Photography) but they were mostly of food and the restaurant, terrace and bar, and so I hadn’t even seen the large banquet room until I arrived to the wedding fayre and was shown to my table. The room was beautifully decorated by Lisa from Wedding Dressings.

There was a selection of different types of lovely centrepieces.

I also had a chat with Emma from Cake Maison.

My next door (table) neighbour was great fun and he even lent me a lamp as a spotlight for my wall art.  He mentioned that he always loses everyone’s business cards – and the irony is, of course, that I can’t find his business card anywhere! So Paul, if you see this, get in contact!

Another fantastic character at the wedding fayre was Andrew Ballantyne.

I think Andrew is the first male harpist I have ever seen, which is probably why I was so surprised how beautifully he played his golden tunes. I’m not kidding about the golden part, either – his intricately decorated, stunning harp is gold plated!

Another person I talked to was was Nigel from Royalton Chauffered Vintage Cars. I didn’t get a chance to go out and take photos of his wonderful vintage Rolls Royce, but I recommend you have a look on their website.

Thanks to Steven Hullock at Pelham House for putting on a beautiful wedding fayre. I had a great time and met some lovely people.
