I met Anya and Chris in Bexhill-on-Sea for their engagement shoot the other day. It was the first time for me to have a pre-wedding shoot in Bexhill so I was really looking forward to working in a new kind of environment. We met at The De La Warr Pavilion, and when I walked around the building the first thing I noticed was a big heart. I asked the couple to step into the big heart… The sun was setting so I decided to take a silhouette photo of the two against the orange and blue sky.
Then there are of course these wonderful architectural areas near the seafront… it looks more like somewhere near the Mediterranean Sea rather than England.
Anya and Chris take walks on the beach a lot, so that’s where we headed next.
I can’t help but smile when I look at these pictures of the lovely couple. Anya and Chris were just brilliant, so easy-going and generous. At the end of the shoot I asked if it was OK for me to try something I have never tried before and they were game, so I took my flash and set it on a tripod and after a few tries got the lighting how I wanted.
I had a great time meeting with Anya and Chris and really enjoyed our pre-wedding shoot in Bexhill-on-Sea. I’m very much looking forward to being their wedding photographer!
