My project with Think Locally last year took me to wonderful places, and one of them was antique dealer extra ordinaire Alex MacArthur‘s stunning showroom home. Which is exactly where I later went to have a portrait shoot with my gorgeous, talented friend Rachel of La Luminata.
Rachel is a wonderful stylist and she wanted some new photos of her for publicity purposes. After taking a few shots in the downstairs kitchen and sitting room, we moved to the bathroom… quite a grand bathroom at that.
The bedroom where I took my last photos using natural light.
It was the middle of winter and as the days are short, it soon got dark out so by the time we moved onto the big room upstairs, I had to start using my studio lights to help with the lighting.
We had great fun shooting in such a wonderful property. These photos are just a small selection of the photos I took… I asked Rachel to choose her favourites for editing, and she chose about 50! Haha, I asked her to cut it down to about 10 for now, and she had a hard time making such a small selection. I’m cruel, I know. In this post you see a combination of Rachel’s favourites and some of mine. Many shots are both our favourites, but I picked the close-up black and white one, for example, just because it shows off Rachel’s stunning beauty so well.
