Personal Branding Photo Shoots in Sussex

The other day I did a personal brand portrait photo shoot with Helen Reynolds, a wonderful image consultant whom I met via business networking some years ago. Helen is such a lovely person that I became instantly friends with her and we have talked about collaborating ever since.

So now finally we got together to take new portraits of Helen, as she is re-branding her business. We chose the beautiful Ockenden Manor for the location for the shoot. I have photographed many weddings at the two other venues of the Historic Sussex Hotels group, but had never been to the third one before, so I was keen to see it with my own eyes.

I love working at the other two hotels as the staff are absolutely wonderful. It makes such a big difference what kind of people you work with at a venue. I certainly wasn’t disappointed with Ockenden Manor in that regard – both Helen and me were treated like valued guests rather than someone who have come there to use the venue as a portrait photo shoot location.

We were also shown the spa building which is just round the corner from the beautiful garden. There we used a beautiful brick wall for photos that have plenty of space for copy.

We took some more photos outside, but to be honest it was such a bright day that Helen ended up squinting a lot in those photos, and since this was a quick shoot we didn’t have time to take out big screens etc to block the sun for the last shots. But here is one more ‘space for copy’ branding photo, showing off Helen’s lovely smile.
